AKA Team Karate di Arezzo won two Tuscan titles at the regional Juniors championships with Caneschi and Farini. The Arezzo-based club fielded nine athletes born in the 2009-2010 biennium, closing the event with a haul of two golds, one silver and three bronzes. In the -53kg women's category, AKA dominated the medals. Farini won the gold and the Tuscan championship title, while Francesca Felicetti and Asia Scaletti shared the third step of the podium. A result that transformed the category into an all-Arezzo affair. Also in the -66kg category, the club dominated: Caneschi won the final, beating his teammate Giorgia Biondini, bringing AKA to occupy the first two places in the category. The last pass to the Italian championships was conquered by Tommaso Fratini, who in -68kg, after four fought matches, deserved the bronze. Not all nine presences led to medals. Emma Bendinelli in -53kg, Gabriele Bellucci in -68kg and Samuele Sciacca in -61kg did not get access to the Italian championships, but they still offered positive and balanced performances, contributing to the overall balance of the trip. The correct conduct of the games was guaranteed by the competence of the official Andrea De Coro. The club's participation was supported by partnerships with DLP Termoidraulica of Marco and Rossano Dini, Clean Tech Studio of Cesare Moretti and ArezzoRecupera of Alessandro Nicchi. "Two Tuscan titles and six medals - comments the maestro Bertocci - are absolute level results that reaffirm the technical preparation, determination and maturity of our boys and girls. The six qualifications for the Italian championships represent an important milestone, an additional opportunity for growth and, at the same time, a stimulus to continue to do better: the challenge at the national level will be even more demanding, but we are confident because the AKA athletes have shown they have all the qualities to perform well even at Lido di Ostia".
